Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2000), with a Masters in Genetics and Biochemistry (Emphasis in Biochemistry) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2006). PhD in Genetics and Biochemistry (Emphasis in Biochemistry) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2010), carrying out part of her PhD at the Laboratory of Structural Proteinomics of the Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia, (C.S.I.C) in Valencia - Spain, under the supervision of Dr. Juan J. Calvete. She held a Post Doctorate at the University of São Paulo (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto-Department of Physico-Chemistry-Laboratory of Animal Toxins) under the supervision of Dr. Eliane Candiani Arantes Braga. She started her higher teaching career at the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2012. Associate Professor II at the Institute of Biotechnology-IBTEC. She was Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Genetics and Biochemistry from 2015 to 2019 and was part of the Collegiate of the same Program (2019 to 2021). She is currently coordinator of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Animal Toxins-Labitox and Tutor Professor of the National League of Academics in Biotechnology-Polo UFU Uberlândia (LiNAbiotec-Polo UFU Uberlândia). She mentors IC, MS, DR students. She works in the areas of Protein Chemistry (Purification, Structural and Functional Analysis), Molecular Biology (Cloning, Expression in Pichia pastoris) and Transcriptomic and Proteomic Analysis of venoms from snakes and cerrado ants.
