Yuri Alexandre Meyer

**Professor Dr. at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), serving as a faculty member and researcher in the Transportation Engineering program at the School of Technology (FT/UNICAMP), located on the Limeira-SP campus, under a full-time dedication regime.** He holds a **postdoctoral degree in Materials Science** from the School of Technology at UNICAMP, a **Ph.D. in Technology with an emphasis on Materials Science** from the same institution, a **Masters degree in Technology specializing in Materials Science**, and a **Bachelors degree in Physics** from UNICAMP. His research areas include **Econophysics applied to Transportation Engineering, Sociophysics, Game Theory, Corrosion Engineering, and Physics Education**. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted **Scientific Initiation projects in Theoretical Physics**, including the investigation of the operation of oscillators based on carbon nanotubes using molecular dynamics (FAPESP-funded), under the supervision of **Prof. Dr. Vitor Rafael Coluci**, and research on the geometry of transformation groups and tensor fields, under the guidance of **Dr. Yuri Dimitrov Bozhkov**. As an educator, he teaches **basic science courses** for engineering programs at FT/UNICAMP, as well as **core professional courses in Transportation Engineering**. He also develops **Junior Scientific Initiation projects** with high school students, resulting in **scientific publications and participation in academic symposiums and congresses**. His extension activities include the creation of the **childrens book *Liga das Mulheres Cientistas*** with elementary and high school students, which was a **finalist in two categories of the HQ MIX Trophy 2021**, considered the "Oscar of Comics," and was donated to **over 2,000 children in public schools**. Additionally, he founded the **Embaixadoras das Ciências (Ambassadors of Science) project**, which represented Brazil in the **international stage of CONCAUSA 2021**, an initiative by **América Solidária, CEPAL, and UNICEF** focused on promoting the **United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)**. He also promotes **extension courses in Engineering and Physics** for the community.
