CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin (IFGW)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He currently serves as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florence, Italy, delving into many-body quantum physics within novel geometries such as quasicrystal and fractal lattices, as well as curved space. From July 2021 to November 2023, he held the position of a postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. During this tenure, his research focused on cold atom systems, specifically exploring the Fermi-Hubbard model in frustrated geometries and studying Bose-Einstein condensates that assemble quasicrystalline patterns. In addition to his work in Brazil, he undertook an internship at Utrecht University in the Netherlands from March 2022 to March 2023. During this period, his research centered on Rydberg atoms and the Hubbard Hamiltonian in fractal lattices. To address these complex problems, he primarily employs (Path-Integral) Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) methods and the numerical solution of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Prior to his postdoctoral positions, he held a lecturing position at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre from March 2019 to December 2020. His academic journey includes a Doctorate in Physics from the State University of Campinas, where he also obtained his titles of Bachelor and Master in Physics. Throughout his postgraduate studies, he specialized in simulating many-body quantum systems using diverse QMC methods, with a particular focus on superfluids formed of both bosonic and fermionic isotopes of Helium.
