Got his Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of Santa Maria (Brazil, 2010) and his Master degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Campinas (Brazil, 2011). Obtained his PhD degree at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (Jena, Germany, 2016), investigating the metabolism and detoxification of maize chemical defenses by Lepidoptera. Conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Campinas (2017), studying the biosynthesis and evolution of chemical defenses from harvestmen. Currently an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and an International Fellow at Rothamsted Research (UK). Currently also works as treasurer of the Natural Products Division from the Brazilian Chemical Society for the 2022-2024 term. His research focus on Chemical Ecology,, Plant-Insect Interactions, and Arthropod Biochemistry. Has experience in Organic Chemistry, focusing on Natural Products Chemistry, Chemical Ecology, and Organic Synthesis, as well as Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
