Visual artist, Doctor of Art from the Art Institute at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) and Master in Visual Art from the Bahia School of Art at the Federal University of Bahia (EBA-UFBA). Dr Gatti specialized in both Photography and the History and Theory of Art at the Unversidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL). His work is principally concerned with the disquiet arising from the making of art, from photography and the creative process in visual art. In 2016 EDUFBA published his e-book, ?Future outside time: poetics photography and uncertainties?, with free download by the link https://repositorio.ufba.br/ri/handle/ri/26293 ; and his book ?A operação artística: filosofia, desenho, fotografia e processos de criação? organized jointly with Rosa Gabriella de Castro Gonçalves.
