Biodiesel is a fuel made from vegetable oils, animal fats and microbial oil (algae, yeast, bacteria and fungi). The raw materials are converted to biodiesel through a chemical reaction involving alcohol and catalyst. This reaction is called transesterification or ethanolisys.
