Wilian de Assis Silveira

Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Physiology (DBFF) at the Institute of Biological and Natural Sciences (ICBN), Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). Holds a B.Ed. in Physical Education from São Paulo State University (UNESP, 2004), a postgraduate certificate in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics (FAMERP, 2006), and advanced training in Human Physiology (FAMERP, 2007). Completed M.Sc. (2010), Ph.D. (2014), and postdoctoral training (2019) in Physiology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP/USP). Undertook short-term research fellowships at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany (2011 and 2014), in the laboratory of Dr. Rüdiger Rudolf (ITG/KIT). Research focuses on histological, biochemical, and molecular analyses of skeletal muscle in rodent models of atrophy and hypertrophy, with technical expertise in in vivo and in vitro transfection and mammalian cell culture.
