Through experimental, theoretical and analytical methods, studies delamination fracture mechanisms on mode II opening and mixed-mode opening in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP). Has a master?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a bachelor?s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a bachelor?s degree in Science and Technology, all at Universidade Federal do ABC Brazil. Worked as a product analyst (contractor) in GE Oil & Gas, performing structural analysis through the Finite Element Method and hand calculations. Took classes on a course about Helicopter Rotor Dynamics given by ONERA (Office National d'Etudes et Recherches Aerospatiales) as a part of an agreement of technology transfer between Brazil and France.
