Ana is a psychologist who graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (2011), specialized in Mental Health in Collective Health at UNICAMP (2012), received a master's degree in Social Psychology from IP/USP (2016), a Doctorate from FCL UNESP/Assis - Yale University (2019), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University. She is currently a researcher in the Department of Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Ana is the project manager of the Early Psychosis Intervention Network OnTrackNY hub, funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health, which aims to build a learning healthcare system for first episode psychosis in the US. Along with Ezra Susser, Ana leads a group of Latin American scholars and activists called RedeAmericas, and coordinates the Center for Mental Health, Human Rights, and Social Justice based at the University of Essex in England, which advances the legacy of the former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health, Dr. Dainius Puras. In addition to her interests in first-episode psychosis and human rights, Ana works to expand the participation of service users and their families in research and public policy.
