Rodolfo da Silva Probst has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the São Paulo State University - Litoral Paulista Campus (UNESP/CLP) (2012), a Master's degree in Systematics, Animal Taxonomy and Biodiversity from the Zoology Museum of the University of São Paulo (MZUSP) (2015), and a PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) from the University of Utah. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the College of Science at the University of Utah, in the Science Research Initiative (SRI) Program. Has experience in the following topics: phylogenomic methods, functional ecology, systematics and taxonomy of ants, with an emphasis on Neotropical fauna, functional and phylogenetic diversity of ants, collection and sequencing methodologies, sample processing, assessment and monitoring of environmental impact on the myrmecofauna in Brazilian biomes.
