Ignacio Maria Poveda Velasco

Bachelor's at Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (1982), master's at Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (1990) and doctorate at Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (1996). Full Professor of History of Law ate the Law Schol of the University of São Paulo. Former General Secretary of the University of São Paulo - USP (2014-2018), former Internacional Relations Provost of the USP (2018-2022), former General Attorney of the USP (2019-2021), and also former Dean of the Ribeirão Preto Law School of the USP (FDRP/USP). Has experience in Law, acting on the following subjects: Roman Law ("emptio venditio" and "beneficium competentiae"), History of Law, Brazilian an Portuguese History of Law and Brazilian Civil Law, in particular Family Law and Contracts Law (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
