bachelor in Classics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1960) and doctorate in Portuguese Literature from the Universidade de São Paulo (1972). Full Professor of Portuguese Literature at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (currently retired). Has experience in Literary Studies, focusing on Portuguese Literature, especially on the following subjects: Galician-Portuguese Lyric, Philology, contemporary Portuguese literature.
