Débora Peres Menezes

Undergraduate studies (bachelor- 1983 and teaching - 1984) and Master of Sciences obtained by the University of São Paulo, doctorate (D.Phil. - 1989) by the University of Oxford, post-doc at Coimbra, Portugal and senior internship at the University of Sydney, Australia - 2005 and University of Alicante, Spain- 2013. Works regularly as visiting researcher at the Laboratoire de Physique Corpusculaire - EnsiCaen, France and at the Physics Department of the Coimbra University, Portugal. At the moment, Débora is a professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and President of the Brazilian Physics Society. She integrated the administrative committee of the Brazilian Institute of Nuclear Physics (INCT), was a member of the Advisor Committe of CNPq (2013-2016) and a Pro-Rector (Dean, Vice-president, Provost) of Research and Outreach Programs at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2008-2012). She works as advisor for many Brazilian sponsoring bodies and Institutions and for various international scientific journals. She coordinates a YouTube Channel (Women in Sciences) and was awarded a diploma of merit for her contributions in sciences by the Florianópolis Town Hall.
