Doctor graduated at Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 1984, medical residence in rheumatology at Instituto de Assistência Médica ao Servidor Público Estadual (1987), PhD in Pathophysiology in internal medicine at UNESP in 1997 and postdoctoral at Rijkuniversitiet in Groningen (RUG), the Netherlands in 2002. Assistant professor retired at Rheumatology Department of the Botucatu Medical School - UNESP. She worked in autoimmune vasculitis and her thesis and postdoctoral versed in the detection and clinical significance of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA). Developed research in the evaluation of various aspects of osteoarticular degenerative diseases, with an emphasis on physical activity in osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
