CNPq level 1A researcher for over a decade. Vice-Coordinator of the Multiuser Nanotechnology Laboratory - LMNAN / CETENE (Northeast Strategic Technologies Center - Recife, Brazil), Strategic Laboratory of SisNANO - National System of Nanotechnology Laboratories of MCTI. Previously Full Member of the Technological Assessment and Advisory Chamber of FAPESB - Bahia State Research Support Foundation. Coordinator of the Mathematical and Natural Sciences area. Guest Professor - Linköping University (until 2010), visiting professor for short periods previously - Uppsala University and Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Experience in applied and fundamental research, interdisciplinary, and particular interest in topics such as nanoscience, renewable energies, hydrogen production, photocatalysis, solar cells, health sciences, biotechnology, interaction of nanoparticles with biological structures, materials science, oxides, semiconductors, superconductors, spintronics, optical, electronic and transport properties of new materials, disordered systems and under extreme conditions (high magnetic field and very low temperatures).
