Licentiate (degree) in Physics from the Universidade Estadual de Maringá-UEM (1983), a Master's degree in Physics (1988) and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Physics Gleb Wataghin-UNICAMP (1993). Since April 2016 he is a Full Professor of the Departamento de Física of the Universidade Federal do Ceará-UFC. He has experience in Physics, working mainly in the following research topics: Dynamical theory of X-ray diffraction, nanoparticles and Rietveld method. He is coordinator of the Multi-user Laboratory in Nanotechnology/CNPq. Currently works on the characterization of crystals by X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation and the synthesis of nanoparticles applied in optical sensors and photovoltaic cells.
