Metalurgical Engineer graduated in 1974, Master degree 1981 and Doctor degree in 1991 from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Post doc at University of Tennessee (19997-1999 in Fracture Mechanics. Researcher of Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnologicas (IPT) from 1975 to 2001 in Metalic Materials Characterization and Failure Analysis of Metalic Materials. Part time professor at Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial from 1977 to 1988 and from 1995 to 1997. Part time professor at UNIP from 1995 to 2001 in undergraduate and graduate courses. Worked as Metallurgical Engineer at Testing Institute of Alaska - Achorage,AK, in welding and failure analysis. From 2006 to 2010 was consultant at Instituto de pesquisas Tecnológicas - IPT. From 2011 to 2014 worked for a contractor of IPT. Currently is a senior researcher of FIPT. Has experience in Failure Analysis of Metallurgical , Materials and Welding Engineering with emphasis in Failure Analysis of Mechanical Components and Structures. Works performig failure analysis mostly for Electric Power Gereration and Transmission, Agricultural, Railroad, Mining, Petrochemical and Petroleum Equipment. Currently participate of a multidisciplinary team in charge of evaluate the structural integrity of iron ore slurry pipelines based in the analysis on in line inspection results and in place inspection. Key words: failure analysis, fatigue, fracture, fracture related to environment, embrittlement, hydrogen, fracture mechanics, fracture toughness, welding, microstructural analysis, carbon and low alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, structural integrity of pipelines.
