She holds a degree in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1983), a master's degree (1995) and a PhD (2001) in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases from the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo; and a master's degree in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University, Canada (2003). She is currently an assistant physician at the Reference Center for Special Immunobiologicals (CRIE) of the Hospital das Clínicas of the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo and an associate professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine of the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. She has experience in Medicine, with an emphasis on Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, working mainly on the following topics: vaccines and vaccination programs and economic evaluation in health.
