Bachelor degree in Mathematics (UNICAMP 1971), MSc, Mathematics (New York University-1973), Doutor em Ciencias-Matematica Aplicada (UNICAMP-1993), post-doctoral studies on Biomathematics at University of Washington-Seattle (1993-1994). Presently, Associate Professor of Mathematics at UNICAMP. Research interests are on Mathematical Models of Population Dynamics (Sociobiology, Evolutionary Dynamics and Epidemiology) by the use of Differential and Integral Equations, Asymptotic Methods as well as on the History and Teaching of Applied Mathematics.
