Graduation at Engenharia de Materiais from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (1982), master's at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1992) and doctorate at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2002). He is currently technical assessor at Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais. Has experience in Material and Metallurgical Engineering, focusing on Welding, acting on the following subjects: brazing, alumina, electronic microscopy, vacuum, stainless steel.
