Journalist and editor, has Academic Licensure Degree (ALD) in Fine Arts Education from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo (1978), master?s in Social Communication from Methodist University of São Paulo (1988), Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from University of São Paulo (1994) and post-doctorate at the Université Stendhal - Grenoble 3, France (2008). He is currently a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Communication at UNESP - São Paulo State University, Brazil, working in Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. He is a permanent professor and coordinator of the Graduate Program in Communication at UNESP (Masters and Doctorate). In higher education, he works in teaching and research in Social Communication, with an emphasis on Communication Theory and Research Methodology, working mainly with the following themes: epistemology and theory of communication, communication and culture, communication and aesthetic experience, and music and media.
