Rafael Schiozer is a Full Professor of Finance at Fundacao Getulio Vargas - EAESP, where he supervises MSc and PhD students, and was the head of the Finance department in 2018 and 2019. Rafael was a visiting associate professor at Copenhagen Business School from Oct/2016 to Nov/2017, and at the University of Macerata in 2022 and Universidad de los Andes in 2023. He holds a BA in Business from Universidade de São Paulo (1999), a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2002), and a Doctoral degree in Finance from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (2006). He was a visiting scholar at the Foster School of Business (University of Washington - Finance Department, 2005), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2009), the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania, 2013 and 2014) and the University of Bologna in 2023-2024. His research has been published in the Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Banking and Finance, among others. Rafael is an associate editor at Journal of Business Management (RAE), Brazilian Review of Finance and is on the board of Estudos Econômicos. Rafael acts as ad-hoc reviewer for Brazilian reserch agencies such as Fapesp Capes and CNPq. He is also a referee for the following journals: Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Financial Stability and the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, among others.
