Born in Campinas on March 27, 1974, he holds a degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (1997), a PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2005) and Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo (2011) . He is currently Professor and Chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami School of Medicine (Miami, Florida, United States) and Adjunct Professor in the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medical Science at Santa Casa (São Paulo, Brazil). He was Professor and Head of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine (Rochester, United States) between October 1, 2016 and January 31, 2021 He was a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, Texas) and Co-Director of the Center for Fetal Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital for 6 years between August 1, 2010 and September 30, 2016). He was Associate Professor of the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, assistant physician at the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo between 01 March 2006 and 30 July 2014. He specialized in the United States and France and has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Maternal and Child Health, working mainly on the following topics: high-risk pregnancies, fetal medicine, ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, prenatal diagnosis, therapies fetuses and hypertension in pregnancy.
