Graduated in Physics, then Master, PhD and Associate Professor in Economics, all from USP. Associate Professor, since 2003, on the Faculty of Economics, Business and Accounting of Ribeirão Preto, FEA-RP / USP. Associate Professor Level 2 (MS-5.2) since 2021. As a researcher, he works mainly in the field of history of economic thought. In his career, he also has experience in the areas of mathematical economics, finance, economic methodology and agricultural economics / rural development (in this case, with an emphasis on rural microcredit, agricultural exports and agrarian issues). He was a National Research Concil (CNPq) scholarship holder (research productivity) from March 2011 to February 2014 (Level 2). He was a researcher at São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the Research Grant modality. Between September 2000 and September 2001 he was at the University of Illinois as a "Visiting Scholar", in the city of Urbana-Champaign (USA), with a scholarship from FAPESP. From September 2004 to February 2005 he was at the University of Salamanca (Spain) as a guest professor, with a scholarship from the CNPQ. Between September 2015 and February 2016, he worked as a visiting researcher at Humboldt University in Belin, at the "Center for Applied Statistics Economics", with a research scholarship granted by FAPESP.
