Edna Frasson de Souza Montero

Graduated in Medicine at the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (1983), Residence in General Surgery- HCFMRP-USP (1984-1987), Fellowship at the Liver Unit- USP (1987-1991) and PhD in Medicine at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1996). Internship at the Liver Unit-USP (1987-1991), PhD in Operative Techniques and Experimental Surgery at Unifesp -EPM (1996) and Tenure-track/habilitation (2007). She is currently Professor in the Discipline of General Surgery and Trauma of the Faculty of Medicine of USP and Responsible for the Laboratory of Surgical Pathophysiology, assumed the vice-coordination of the Graduate Program in Surgical Clinic in the period 2011-2013 and Program Coordination for the 2013-2015 period and re-elected for the 2015-2017 period. She is member of the Board of the Surgery Department (2019-2021), representative of the Surgery Department at the Research Ethics Committee and a member of the Research Committee of the Surgery Department of FMUSP. Affiliated Professor and physician at Unifesp, where he founded the League of Operative Technique and Experimental Surgery, was a Member of the Research Ethics Committee of 2004-2012 and Coordinator of the Operative Technique Module of the 2001-2007 Medical Degree. She held the position of Coordinator of the Alpha Center for Health Skills from 2007-2012. Develops research in ischemia and reperfusion / organ rejection / chemical and physical modulation strategies and in Scientific Communication with the Scientific Communication Center in Health Sciences (Surgery area). At the Brazilian Society for the Development of Surgical Research-SOBRADPEC is secretary of the Regional-São Paulo. She has been a Counselor at the International Society for Experimental Microsurgery-ISEM since 1998, having taken over as Chair for 2010-2012 management, Sun Lee Award for Contribution to ISEM (2016). He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Organ Transplantation - member of the Ethics Department from 2011-2013. Has served as Editor-in-Chief of Acta Cirúrgica Brasileira magazine since February 2015; Belongs to the Editorial Board of Scientific Journals: Journal of the Brazilian Medical Association-Associate Publisher of the Surgical Area; Jornal Brasileiro de Transplante - Assistant Editor since 2014. She is also a reviewer in the journals: Acta Cirurgica Brasileira, Archives of Gastroenterology, Clinics, European of Surgical Research, Transplantation.
