Igor Studart Medeiros

I have a degree in Dentistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1999), a master's degree (2001), a doctorate (2004) and a postdoctoral fellowship (2006) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of São Paulo, with studies in photoactivation, reinforced ceramic materials, use of laser for sintering and porcelain glaze etc. I joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Materials of FOUSP in 2002; I am currently Associate Professor (since 2011) of the Department of Biomaterials and Oral Biology of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo (FOUSP). I work in a research group with scientific initiation, master's degree, PhD, post doctorate students and teachers of faculties of dentistry, chemistry, physics and engineering; This group aims to research, develop, innovate and disseminate the techniques and biomaterials with emphasis on dentistry. We presented eight innovation projects and several scientific articles published in international journals. I am a reviewer of several journals and funding agencies. Currently, I am responsible for the undergraduate disciplines of dental biomaterials for direct and indirect use, Master and PhD disciplines of General Properties of materials and Ceramic Materials; In the administrative engagement, I worked as General Dean of Agreement Department, Technical Advisor to the Provost of Culture and Extension; President of the Committee of Culture and Extension of FOUSP and member of the FOUSP Congregation.
