Jose Antonio Hernandes

PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles (1992) in the area of Structures and Solid Mechanics; M.Sc. of Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (1982), Civil Engineer from the School of Engineering of São José dos Campos(1976). Associate Professor in full time at the Department of Structures of the Division of Aeronautical Engineering of the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA). Has experience of teaching and research in Aerospace Engineering, with emphasis on Aerospace Structures, working mainly in the following areas: structural mechanics, analysis and optimization of aircraft structures, structural optimization of composite laminated strucutures and topological optimization of structures.
