Ana Paula is a retired Senior Professor (MS5-2) at the Departamento de Linguística from the Universidade de São Paulo, a Visiting Professor (Titular-E) at the Departamento de Letras from the UFJF and has a Productivity scholarship from CNPq, level 2. She has a degree is Letras from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (1988), a Master's degree in Linguistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996) and a PhD in Linguistics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2004), with a period as a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California, under the supervision of Professor Joseph Aoun. She has been in four long term visits to the University of Calgary (Calgary - 2006-2006), the University College London (London - 2011-2012), the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (CAmpinas - 2017-2018) and the Universidade Feeral de Juiz de Fora (Juiz de Fora - 2023-2024). She has experience in Linguistics, working with formal grammar in the field of Generative Grammar, particularly in Distributd Morphology. She is interested in the interfaces Morphology has with Syntax, Phnology and Semantics and is working with argument structure, syncretism, as well as with the derivation of affixeless deverbal nouns, innovative participles, truncated forms, and adjectives used as adverbs. She has been one of the editors-in-chief of Editora da ABRALIN, since March, 2023. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
