Helena Akemi Wada Watanabe

Helena is under graduated in Nursing (1982), in Nursing "Licenciatura" and in Public Health Nursing at the University of São Paulo (1983). Graduated in Public Health by the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo (1985), she obtained a Master (1993) and a PhD degree in Pubic Health at the University of São Paulo (1999). She has experience in Public Health, acting on the following subjects: Public Health and aging; Health promotin, Long term care, long term care institutions for the elderly and Interdisciplinary Training in Health . Helena is member of two research groups: Public Health and Ageing; Health Promotion. She was advisor at the Educational Program in Health through Work (PROPET- Saúde USP Capital) from 2011 to 2016. From 2015 to 2018 she coordinated the Extension program named "Jornada Universitária da Saúde", and from 2019 to 2020 she coordinated an undergraduation project called Learning in the community - "Jornada Universitária da Saúde". She is advisor at the Educational Program in Health through Work - Management and Care since 2022 She is ad hoc advisor of FAPESP, ad hoc reviewer of national and international scientific journals. She is also graduate advisor of the Public Health Program of the School of Public Health and at the Professional Master's Degree Program on Interdisciplinary Training in Health, an inter-unit program (School of Dentistry, Nursing School, Public Health School and Psychology Institute), both of them at the University of São Paulo. She was also Presidente of the postgraduate Committe of theProfessional Master's Degree Program on Interdisciplinary Training in Health (2019-2023) .
