Diogo S. Lüdtke obtained his degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in 2000. In 2001, he entered the graduate program at the same University, where in 2005 he completed his Ph.D., under the supervision of Prof. Antonio L. Braga. After a postdoctoral stint in the group of Prof. Ronaldo A. Pilli, at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), he started his independent career in 2007, at the University of São Paulo (USP). Since 2011 he has been at the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), where is main research interests are focused on Asymmetric Synthesis and Catalysis, using carbohydrates and amino acids as raw materials. He was one of the six Brazilian delegates in the 3rd Transatlantic Frontiers of Chemistry Symposium, promoted by GDCh, RSC and ACS (2013). He received the Química Nova award from the Brazilian Chemical Society and the BMOS-RSC Young Investigator Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry and Brazilian Meeting on Organic Synthesis (2018). From 2013-2017 he was an Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, and Head of the Graduate Chemistry Program (2021-2025). He is the recipient of the CNPq Research Productivity Fellowship (level 1C). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
