Currently the manager of the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) at the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) and a faculty member of the Masters Program in Neuroengineering at IIN-ELS. He is a member of the State Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Rio Grande do Norte (CONECITI), the Technical-Scientific Council of the Augusto Severo Science and Technology Park (PAX), and the Economic Development and Innovation Council of Macaíba. He holds a Postdoctoral degree (2006) and a Ph.D. (2003) in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo. He has a degree in Physical Therapy from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo (1996). He has experience in the areas of neurorehabilitation, neuroscience, neuroengineering, neurophysiology, motor control, psychophysics, and scientific education for high school teaching.
