Phil.) at Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo (1978) and doctorate degree (Ph.D.) at University of London (1987). Full Professor of Ethics and Political Philosophy at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC). Presidente of the Ethics Committee. Has experience in Philosophy, acting on the following subjects: Philosophy of Science, mostly critical rationalism, with special reference to Karl Popper's ideas and also Ethics, with emphasis on Utilitarianism, mostly Anglo-American Classical Utilitarianism.
