He has a degree in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1985), completed a Medical Residency in Otorhinolaryngology (1986-1987) at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo and obtained a Doctorate (1997) and Associate Professorship (2002) in Otorhinolaryngology from the same University. He completed a 2-year specialization internship in Laryngology and Phonosurgery at Keio University Medical School Tokyo - between 1988 and 1990. He was president of the Brazilian Academy of Laryngology and Voice in 2004 and 2005 and President of the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery in year 2016.He is currently Associate Professor of the Discipline of Otorhinolaryngology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo and Assistant Physician at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo where he is responsible for the cooperation of the Voice Group. He also works as Vice-Coordinator and Postgraduate Advisor Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. He works in the area of #8203;#8203;otorhinolaryngology, mainly in the area of #8203;#8203;Laryngology, Phonosurgery and Functional Nose Surgeries.Develops intense scientific and didactic activity within Brazil and abroad (mainly in Latin America) focusing mainly on topics related to vocal disorders, laryngeal semiology, phonosurgery and basic research in laryngology.Professional contact: +55-11-32515504 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
