Graduated in Electronics Engineering from the ITA - Technological Institute of Aeronautics (1979), Master in Applied Computing from INPE - National Institute of Space Research (1986), PhD (1999) in Engineering by the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EPUSP). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Production Engineering Department at EPUSP. Conducts research in the areas of Production Engineering, Information Technology Management and Software Production. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate classes (Masters, Doctorate and Extension) in the same areas. He teaches courses in continuing education (MBA, Specialization) and extension programs. He is currently coordinator of the Research Committee of the Production Engineering Department of EPUSP (since 2016). He coordinated the extension activities of the same Department (2012-2014). He was coordinator of the Executive MBA Course in Operations Management Products Services of the Polytechnic School of USP, in partnership with Vanzolini Foundation (2011/2016). He was Director of Education (2008-2009) and President of Vanzolini Foundation (2014-2015). He was President of Porta Aberta Foundation (2013-2015).
