Hermes Renato Hildebrand is a mathematician and holds a Master's Degree in Multimedia from UNICAMP - State University of Campinas (1994), a PhD in Communication and Semiotics from PUCSP - Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2001) and Free Lecturer in Arts from UNICAMP in 2021. He is a professor from UNICAMP and holds the position of Head of the Department of Multimedia, Media and Communication at the Institute of Arts at UNICAMP. He is also a researcher in the areas of art, science and technology on interactive systems, artificial intelligence, digital games, collaboration processes contemporary. He has experience in the areas of mathematics, semiotics, education, communication, arts and electronic games, with emphasis on the production of interactive installations and interfaces using assistive technologies and digital technologies in general. In education, it develops teaching and learning projects based on active methodologies for training people in schools and communities in general. It studies the potential of these interfaces and interaction and mediation tools to be used in educational and entertainment processes. In Arts, Science and Technology develops reflections, research and productions with an approach in aesthetics, semiotics and visual languages #8203;#8203;through digital and locative media. In postgraduate studies, he directs interdisciplinary projects in the areas of Games, Ergonomics, Usability and Accessibility and in Interaction Design using Digital and Locative Interfaces. He performs productions in the areas of Images, Semiotics and Arts. He received an Honorable Mention from the Sergio Motta Award in 2005 and was the winner of the 6th Sergio Motta Award for the best interactive installation by the São Paulo State Secretariat with the group of artists SCIArts - Equipe Interdisciplinar in 2007 (http://www.sciarts.org. br). In 2020 he won the Honorable Mention Award in the Edict CoMciência - Ocupação em Arte, Ciência e Tecnologia with the collective project DNA Afetivo Kamê and Kanhru together with LabInter/UFSM (Interdisciplinary Interactive Laboratory - https://www.ufsm.br/laboratorios/labinter /). He is an ad hoc reviewer for PUCSP, UNICAMP, FAPESP and FAEPEX (Unicamp). Participates in master's and doctoral committees on subjects related to the topics he studies and researches. He has several publications in the areas of semiotics, interaction design, interactive hypermedia productions, electronic games, arts, sciences and emerging technologies. In these productions, international publications stand out: 5th Artech 2010 - 5th International Conference on Digital Arts, 4th Artech 2008 - 4th International Conference on Digital Arts, The 14th International Symposium on Electronic Art. Singapore: ISEA2008 and in national events stand out: ANPAP National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts from 2006 to 2018 and in the International Art and Technology meetings held at the University of Brasília - UnB. He has published books and articles in national and international indexed journals. And from 2017 to 2022 he was part of the board of ANPAP - National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts of Brazil.
