Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health of the School of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP, in the area of #8203;#8203;Public Policy, Planning and Management since 2013. Graduated in Medicine from the School of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais (1983), residency at the School of Medicine at UFMG (1994); master's degree (1997), doctorate and associate professorship (2002) from the School of Medical Sciences at Unicamp. Visiting Scholar/Postdoctoral Fellow at King's College London (2013-2015). Coordinates the research collective Connections: Subjectivity Policies and Public Health, which, in recent years, has worked on research and extension projects with trans populations, homeless populations and SUS users. Based on a theoretical repertoire that dialogues with government studies, biopolitics, feminism, gender studies, among others, the institution has been developing research, interventions and training practices around issues of management, clinical care, harm reduction and management, promotion and primary health care, and training in the specialties of family and community medicine and public health, seeking, in particular, to contribute to the development and qualification of the Unified Health System. Since 2021, the institution has been coordinating the partnership between Unicamp and the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (Cuba), which has sought to develop, stimulate and support partnership actions between both institutions. Among the research carried out, it is worth highlighting those developed in care territories in the Basic Health Network and with populations in vulnerable conditions, such as homeless people, drug users, the LGBTQIAPN+ population and indigenous peoples. He is the coordinator of the international research project "Practices and knowledge that come from the margins: encounters and disagreements with health care and training", financed by the CNPQ, which, it is worth noting, has allowed the deepening of international research relations with Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, Portugal, Italy and France. In addition, he is an associate editor and coordinator of the "Debate" section of the Interface Journal: Communication, Education and Health. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
