Lucia Vilela Leite Filgueiras is senior professor in Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo, researcher and consultant in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experiece. She collaborates in research and development projects in the area of Medicine and Public Health Faculties and with FAU-USP DIS, lab for Design and Innovation for Health. Her reseach interests include user experience evaluation and information visualization, presently applied to Public Healh Systems; accessibility and assistive technologies and also human reliability and electronic government. She graduated in Electric Engineering at Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo in 1983. Her master (1989) and doctoral (1996) research were at Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo. She has worked as engineer and consultant in several projects related to human-computer interaction in critical process control systems such as nuclear power plants, military ships, train and chemical plants. She retired as assistant professor after 32 years in the Department of Computer Engineering of Escola Politecnica, USP, where she also held the position of assistant director to CCE, the Technology Information Center at USP capital campus from 2010-2013 and the Executive Chair of USP Legal, the USP Disabilities Service from 2012 to 2015.
