He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá (UNIFEI, 1996), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá as well (UNIFEI, 1998) and a PhD in Space Engineering and Technology from the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE, 2003). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). He has experience in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Engineering, with an emphasis on Artificial Neural Networks. He works mainly in the following subjects: modeling of nonlinear dynamical systems, computational mathematics, discrete mathematics, RSA and Habin cryptography, artificial intelligence, intelligent agents, expert systems, neural control systems, evolutionary computation, stochastic processes and Kalman filter. He is currently a reviewer for the following journals: IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Access, IEEE Latin America Transactions and Journal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence. He is also a principal member of the London Journals Press and publishes his main research in the International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control in Japan (Tokai University, Kukamoto Campus), in the Journal Information in Switzerland and in the IEEE RITA in Spain. This researcher has been guiding Masters and Doctoral students at ITA in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks since 2005. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
