Ana Claudia Mei Alves de Oliveira

Degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1975) and a degree in Advertising and Marketing from the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (1976). Completed the Master's (1983) and Doctoral (1989) in the Post-Graduate Studies in the Program in Communication and Semiotics. Developed two Post-Doctoral at EHESS in Sémiotique (1990-1991; 1992-1994). She is a member of the Council of Ex-Presidents of ANPAP: National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts; Ad hoc consultant for FAPESP, CAPES, CNPq. She is Vice-President of FEDROS - Federazione Romanza di Semiotica. Member of the Assibercom Board of Directors elected in 2019. Coordinates the following Groups: in the Assibercom: DTI 7: Aesthetics of media discourses; in the Fashion Colloquium: the Gt Body, Fashion and Communication. She is Titular Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo: Faculty of Philosophy, Communication, Letters and Art, where she teaches in the Undergraduate Courses and Postgraduate Program in Communication and Semiotics in the theoretical axis of Discursive Semiotics. Among her research objects are: Theoretical Foundations of Semiotics, Semiotics, Aesthetics and Aesthesia; Figurativity and plastic-rhythmic-aesthetic arrangements; Visual Semiotics; Semiotics of Fashion and the Body; Media semiotics; Semiotics of urban life practices; City semiotics. She is the leader of the Center for Sociosemiotic Research CPS, which she co-directs with Eric Landowski (CNRS, France), developing several international and national collaboration agreements in a network of researchers for the development of semiotic research.
