Ezequiel Theodoro da Silva

He holds a degree in English Language and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1971), a masters degree in Education (Major: Reading) from the University of Miami (1973), and a PhD in Education (Educational Psychology) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1979). He earned the title of Associate Professor (Livre-Docência) in Teaching Methodology from the School of Education at Unicamp (1994). He served as a faculty member and researcher at the School of Education at Unicamp from 1975 to 2000. From 2000 to 2025, he worked as a visiting professor with the ALLE-AULA Research Group (Literacy, Reading and Writing, Teaching Work, and Initial Teacher Education) at the School of Education at Unicamp. He has extensive experience in the field of Education, with an emphasis on Pedagogy, Psychology, and Didactics, focusing primarily on the following topics: reading, teacher education, school libraries, and internet-based reading. He is the editor and coordinator of Editora Leitura Crítica, which has published several titles. In addition to maintaining various blogs dedicated to different aspects of reading theory and practice, he manages the website Ezequiel Oficial (https://ezequieloficial.com.br/), where he shares much of his work and promotes continuing education and professional development for teachers in reading instruction. For his YouTube channel Ezequiel T da Silva (https://www.youtube.com/@profezequieloficial), he produces and publishes videos on reading pedagogy, gemology, and recreational fishing.
