Mônica Spadafora Ferreira

Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo, with specialization in Clinical Analysis. She has master and doctorate in Immunology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo. She is currently a Research Scientist VI at Laboratory of Immunogenetics, Butantan Institute. She has experience in Immunology, with an emphasis on Cellular and Humoral Immunology, especially in the following subjects: inflammation and regulation of immune response. She colaborates on the Immunology in Schools Project, of the Platform for Teaching and Interaction with the Society of the Institute of Immunology Research. She has experience in waste management of health services and implementation of PGRS. Her lines of research include action of animal venoms in mice genetically selected for acute inflammatory response and the immune response in horses immunized with animal venoms and more recently immune response in Covid-19.
