Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Ceará (1989), Master Degree in Medicine (Surgical Gastroenterology) from the Federal University of São Paulo (1998). Fellow in Hepatobiliary Surgery at Université Paris-Sud XI at Center Hépato-Biliaire at Hôpital Paul Brousse, Paris-FRA (1999-2000). Doctorate in Medicine (Surgical Gastroenterology) by the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2004) and Post-Doctorate by the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2016), Full Professor by the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2012). He is currently an Associate Full Professor and Head of the Surgical Liver Group of the Surgical Gastrointestinal Department at Escola Paulista de Medicina, Federal University of Sao Paulo. Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program of the Interdisciplinary Surgical Science at EPM / UNIFESP (2020-2022) and Permanent Advisor and Member of the Teaching Committee of the Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Surgical Science at the UNIFESP Department of Surgery. Fellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS). Fellow, International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA). Titular member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons (TCBC). Titular member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (TCBCD). Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Gastroenterological and Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery, acting on the following subjects: Liver and Pancreas / Kidney Transplantation, Liver, Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery, General Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology and Minimally Invasive Surgery .
