Currently, Professor Coppini is CNPq's SENIOR RESEARCHER and a Assistant Full Professor of UNICAMP's Mechanical Engineering School working with Postgraduate Education and Research & Development. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering of São Carlos USP (1970). He obtained his Master's degree and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas in 1974 and 1978, respectively; He has carried out a series of short visits and internships in several American, English, Italian, German, Spanish Croatian and Japanese institutions. Until retiring in 1995, he served as Full Professor at Unicamp - State University of Campinas, where he held several relevant administrative positions: he was Director of the Technology Center, President of the Curricular Chamber (equivalent to that of Pro Rector of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education -Graduation), Vice-Director of the Faculty of Engineering of Campinas, Head of the Engineering Engineering Department of which he was leader of the team that created it; was Coordinator of Mechanical Engineering Course; He was Full Professor of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Production of UNIMEP - Methodist University of Piracicaba; he worked as a full-time researcher at the University of Nove de Julho at the Post-Graduation Program in Production Engineering until December 2012; He is a Collaborating Professor of the Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, University of Taubaté - UNITAU;participated and led the team building the program; was President of ABEPRO - Brazilian Association of Production Engineering; he acted as coordinator of the project SP01 - Optimization of Machining Processes of the Fábrica do Milênio Institute that congregated a network of Teaching and Research Institutions throughout the Country; and was a collaborator of the Sandvik Company of Brazil S. A. Industry and Commerce as Editor of the Scientific Encarte of the Magazine O Mundo da Machining and member of the team of organization of training courses offered for the industrial sector related affine with said company; has experience in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Production always with emphasis on Manufacturing Processes, having guided several dozens of master's and doctoral degrees in the different universities in which he worked; specializes in topics related to technology and management of production processes, in particular the machining processes. He was a Fellow of PVNS / CAPES of the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) during the period from 02/2014 to 01/2015. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
