Rosana Nunes dos Santos

I have a degree in PHYSICS from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1986), a master's degree in Nuclear Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1992) and a PhD in Nuclear Geophysics from the University of São Paulo (2001). I was hired in 1989 at the Physics Department and in 2011 I migrated to the Engineering Department. I am currently an Associate Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP). At PUC/SP, I develop scientific initiation works in the area of #8203;#8203;Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering with students and professors from PUC/SP. I was Coordinator of the Electrical Engineering Course in the 2011-2012 biennium. In 2012 I was appointed Pro-Dean of Culture and Community Relations at PUC / SP, remaining in the position until October 2013. In February 2014 she took over the Coordination of the Biomedical Engineering Course in order to reformulate the course. I was Head of the Engineering Department for the 2015-2017 and 2017-2019 biennia. Together with another researcher, the 1st patent of PUC/SP in 67 years was deposited, on 06/19/2011 and on 03/30/2021 the Letter Patent No. 102012015061-1 was issued by the INPI, granting the invention property. I was appointed Pro-Dean of Culture and Community Relations at PUC/SP, remaining in the position until October 2013. In February 2014, I took over the Coordination of the Biomedical Engineering Course, developing and reformulating the course. I was Head of the Engineering Department for the 2015-2017 and 2017-2019 biennia. Vice-leader of the CNPq Automation and Control Group. I am currently enrolled in the USP-IDPC Graduate Program (Dante Pazzanese Institute of Cardiology) doing my Post-Doctorate involving the areas of Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biomaterials. I assumed the position of Counselor at the University Council of PUC-SP in the four-year period 2020-2024. I am part of the Group of Researchers and students with the most varied backgrounds and expertise who have come together to promote quality research and scientific advances in biomechanics, bioengineering and biomaterials using numerical methods..
