He holds a medical degree from the University of São Paulo (1977) and a doctorate from the University of São Paulo (1996). He is currently an Associate Professor of the Clinical Emergencies Discipline of the Internal Medicine Department of FMUSP, General and Didactic Coordinator of the Laboratory of Skills and Simulation of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais, Coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Cardiology of the Hospital Sírio Libanês, Past President and founder of the Brazilian Association of Clinical Simulation (ABRASSIM), Past President and Founder of the Latin American Federation of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (FLASIC). He is a member of the Simulation Committee of the Association in Europe for Medical Education (AMEE) and member of the judging committee of the AMP Aspire Program, Simulation modality. He has experience in the areas of Cardiology, Clinical Emergencies, Medical Teaching and Clinical Simulation, working mainly on the following topics: simulation as a teaching tool and teaching of Cardiology (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
