Has a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1987), a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1982) and a BSc in Chemical Engineering at Centro Universitário do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia (1973). He is currently professor at the Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia. He served as Manager of research and development at Elekeiroz Chemicals. Has experience in chemical engineering, with emphasis on the development of chemical processes, working mainly on the following themes: development of chemical processes, application of microwave chemical processes, chemical reactions encouraged by microwave and chemical reactors.
