Graduated in Economics from the Universidade de São Paulo (1986), Master's in Economics from the Universidade de São Paulo (1992) and Ph.D. in Economics from the University College London (1997). IFB Professor of Economics and Director of the Centre for Public Policy at Insper Institute of Education and Associate Professor at the University of Sao Paulo.
