Graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1980-83, course not concluded), and graduated in Social Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP). He was a researcher at the Center for Contemporary Culture Studies (CEDEC - 1990 and 2000), and researcher and technical coordinator at the Social Observatory Institute (IOS - rom 2000 to 2007). He obtained a master's degree (1994) and a doctorate in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (1999). He is currently a full-time professor at the FFLCH, at the Department of Political Science (DCP), also in the graduate program of Political Science (DCP-FFLCH) and at the Institute of International Relations (IRI). He's a senior researcher of the Center for the Study of International Negotiations (CAENI-USP), coordinator of the agreement between IRI and SIPA (School of International and Public Affairs) at Columbia University in New York since 2008, and researcher at C4AI (Center for Artificial Intelligence at USP). He was president (2012-14) and vice-president (2015-2018) of the Research Commission (CPQ) of the FFLCH, and a member of the Ethics and Research Committee (CEP) of the Institute of Psychology (IP-USP) between 2015 and 2021. He was also head of the Department of Political Science at FFLCH (2018-2022). He works in the following research areas: transnational governance, Human Rights and Multinational Companies, Social and Environmental Impact Assessment, and Labor Standards. Currently develops research agendas in ethical aspects, governance, regulation and public policies of Artificial Intelligence at C4AI (Inova USP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
