Antonio Suarez Abreu

He holds a degree in Neo-Latin Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. He has a specialization in linguistics and Portuguese from the Classical University of Lisbon. He holds a master's degree in linguistics from the University of São Paulo (USP). He holds a PhD in linguistics from the University of São Paulo. He holds a postdoctoral degree in linguistics from the University of São Paulo. He holds a postdoctoral degree in cognition and language from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is an associate professor (inactive) at USP. He is a full professor (inactive) at São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a collaborating professor in the graduate program in linguistics and Portuguese at FCLARUNESP.He currently is professor at the São Leopoldo Mandic School of Medicine. He works in medical education, focusing specifically on health literacy and decision-making aids. He also supervises undergraduate research projects in medical education.
