Ana Maria Vicentini Ferreira de Azevedo

She holds a BA in English from the Universidade de Brasília (1979), an MA in Literature from University of Essex (1983) and a Ph. D in Comparative Literature from the City University of New York (1996), where she received the "Margaret Bryant Award" for the best dissertation of the academic year 1996-1997. She is a practising psychoanalyst in São Paulo, and her research interests are on psychoanalysis and literature, in particular language, sublimation, fantasy, desire. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
